For future-thinkers (or people who are just curious...or confused), here is a short view of what my life should look like for the next couple of years:
May 2011 - Graduation from Texas A&M with a Bachelor's degree in International Studies
July 2011 - Start grad school at the Graduate Institute of Applied Linguistics in Dallas, where I will earn a certificate in linguistics
June 2012 - Finish certificate work at GIAL
July 2012 - Attend Wycliffe training of sorts in Orlando Florida; Begin building ministry partnership team (that's prayer and funding). Six months allotted for that.
December 2012 - Hopefully have full support;
January 2013 - If all goes as planned...IN FIELD!

sweet! where do you hope to go?
No idea!!! People keep asking, but I really have no idea at all. Some place hot and humid, I suppose...but that's not very specific. I'm praying for direction right now, and I'm trying to learn more about the work in different areas. We'll see what happens. :)
Great Blog! Pat was our (my husband Dan and I) recruiter too. He posted a link on his facebook to your blog. The whole application process is long and tedious; but I can say it was worth it in the end. We recently became Wycliffe members. If all goes as planned on your time line, we should be at the same equip as you! Look forward to meeting you! We're going to be serving in Tanzania by the way...
That's so cool! Pat has been such an encouragement through all of this! I can't wait to meet you!
